Welcome to the Wildlife Habitat Project
Registry
The focus of this web site is on wildlife habitat, and
resources to accomplish wildlife habitat project work. The site includes
access to Internet based mapping services for on-the-ground wildlife habitat
projects, collaborative services, wildlife map layers served to users through
web based map browsers, and an extensive list of resources, reports and web
links for general information on wildlife habitat resources. The wildlife conservation
organizations and state and federal agencies annually conduct thousands of
habitat improvement projects throughout the US. Often habitat projects are
targeted at one species, though they may indirectly benefit multiple species or
systems. The wildlife habitat project registry, funded primarily by the National Fish and Wildlife
Foundation and the the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation documents projects of wildlife conservation groups and agencies and
leverages limited resources and budgets by bringing partners together with other
partners to cooperate in on-the-ground habitat improvement projects.
